Lewis Carroll was a pseudonym for him in 1856, when he wrote many humorous and mathematical works under the pen name Lewis Carroll. ![]() He was a well-known mathematician and photographer as well. Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass are two of Carroll’s most popular children’s books. Lewis Carroll was born Charles Lutwidge Dodgson on January 27, 1832, in Daresbury, a town in northern England. The train featured a very predictable little romantic poem entitled ‘Solitude’ written by Lewis Carroll. In 1856, he published his first work under the name that would eventually make him famous. Even as he grew older, he kept coming up with new ideas, but his focus on earning a living was always there. ![]()
